I'm told that the following is a very cool website.
How it works: You type in your favorite word (mine happens to
be "pocketknife"), and every time this word is spoken on
television, you receive an email detailing the tv show, text, and
link.

Watch Fox. I have inside information that Microtech just provided them with a nice set of trick Halos for a new series... apparently, the Halo is gonna be the hero's EDC.

Keifer Sutherland stars in a new show on Fox called "24". I saw the 1st episode today, they repeated it for those who may have missed it. I caught a glimpse of the hero, Jack, using a knife to cut away a jacket sleeve from his friend who is shot in the arm. Anyone know what knife that may have been? I think it may have been the Halo that Chuck suggested.

That looked like a side opener; maybe a L-UDT?

I replayed it on TeVo and it looks like it could be a Microtech. Possibly a Mini-Socom? Definitely not a Halo. It's hard to tell. Anybody have any clues?

Looked too large to be a mini-socom.

Either a L-UDT or a large D/A SOCOM.

Did you see his wrist snap?

I think it caught him by surprise. :D

Has anyone seen the knife in the movie trailer for the film about the heist with Danny Devito and Gene Hackman (I forget the name). Right at the end Devito fires a black part serrated auto/side opener. Any ideas on that one.

24 is exactly the name. Thank you, I'd forgotten.

I do know that Microtech provided them with an assortment of knives including the aforementioned trick Halos.

Kind of makes me wish I had a TV set.... kind of.

I watched 24 also, and when K.S. opened the knife my initial gut reaction was it sure looked like a Microtech.

Checked out that website and it is pretty cool!

Any of you see the multi-bladed utility pocketknife displayed by James Garner ("The Scrounger") in the movie The Great Escape?

The Great Escape just happens to be one of my favorite movies and the fact that those POWs could get a pocketknife past all those searches just goes to show the abilities of those POWs.

The knife on 24 looked like a LUDT, or something. The pivot pin was silver, while the blade and handle were black. I might have mistaken the button for the pivot pin, though, as it was a very quick shot. Whatever it was, it was definitely silver on a black handle. I didn't think MicroTech had shiny silver buttons.

Who knows...

24 looks like a great show, BTW.

Hey JT - I saw that too. Thought it looked like some sort of SpeedSafe, though... Kershaw or a REAL Onion, maybe?

*edit* Just looked at my UDT - black blade and handle with a "silver" (actually aluminum-colored) button.
