I'd rather have it in VG-10 and keep the price down a bit. I guess I don't consider S30V an upgrade, or even an interesting choice at this point.

Don't forget about Yard Man mowers

I've always felt like the initial hair shaving sharpness of VG-10 and S30V lasts about the same. S30V probably holds onto a working edge level of sharpness a bit longer. I like that VG-10 will roll vs chip. I've never had any blade steel as chippy as S30V, maybe just bad luck on my end.

I'm definitely interested. I have always had good experience with S30V, I carry that version Military quite frequently. I had heard about chipping, it was quite the problem for a little bit IIRC, but thought that was an issue that had since been resolved in S30V steel. Agreed, though, yellow and green....

The Pink/Purple version sounds more interesting, especially to my wife.

Funny thing is, I'm going to RIT dye the new Dragonfly Hawkbill, and I'm leaning toward green. It'll probably end up yellow/green since it's my first attempt.

There already is a VG10 zome in green and black for $69. There will also now be a vg10 zome in pink and purple for $69.

This S30V zome is $78. That seems like a small upcharge for a steel option that is shipped half way around the world.

For comparison the zdp delica is $99.

It should fall somewhere right in between them. The Japanese offerings have lacked a middle of the road stainless steel up until now. This is a winner in my book.

Since they've used s30v maybe they will eventually start using s90v and s110v? A s90v or 110v delica would be cool.

Noticed these at BHQ and KC also..Here's a pic of the yellow/green s30v delica..

A zome pink/purple vg10 delica is also showing at KP, BHQ and KC..
