a Spyderco Chaparral?

Looking for something with:
- Deep carry pocket clip (e.g. Spyderco wire clip, clips seen on SOG Flash/Buck Vantage/HEST-F)
- ~3 in blade, overall compact size
- Clean lines, doesn't look "tactical", can play the role of "gentleman's knife"
- S30V or 154CM (or similar quality steel)
- Not auto or spring assist

I've browsed the entire Spyderco catalog, and saw a couple of similar ones. I was wondering if anyone knows any non-Spyderco knives that fit the criteria.

Thanks in advance.

What about a small buck vantage avid. With the diamond wood scales imo it doesnt look tactical at all.
I've considered the Vantage series. However, the only model with the blade steel I'm looking for is the Vantage Pro, but apparently, it has issues with blade centering and overall fit & finish. Thoughts?

so you dont want spyderco? because you just described the sage 1.
No, what I'm saying is that I've already looked at Spyderco. I just want to see all of my options including those from other brands.

if price isnt a concern take a look at the mnandi. with the clip showing it looks more like a pen then a knife.

Unfortunately, price is a concern. Trying to keep it under/around $100 for now.
CRKs and William Henrys will come later in life :)

I edc a vantage pro everyday and I honestly cant think of a knife that could remove it from my pocket. There are still a few issues with the vantage line however if you get one with a centering problems simply send it to Buck they will fix it or replace it no questions asked. I personally paid a bit more for mine and got it at a local store so I could look at it before I got it.

Gerber makes a couple of decient models that have a deep pocket clip. I would look at your local sporting goods store and check them out

I have the advantage force pro, overall knife is very nice and feels great. But slow blade, no detent and hollow grind keeps it in my drawer. One day at work the blade come out a little bit and stabbed my leg when I went to sit down, I expected more from buck, plus the bushings are plastic. And flipper has zero help but swinging wrist to open. Aside from looks I was truley disapointed.

Which model do you have?
What about it makes you believe nothing can unseat from your pocket?

I love Buck knives, but this S30V product let me down. I'm just curious about yours, I'm not trying to put it down.
