Knives, guns, weapons, tools, & gadgets! Brass or Aluminum Knuckles falls into what catagory? Some may say weapons, but I like collecting them as paperweights and conversation items. Would fall in the gadgets catagory for myself.

Talk about some interesting knuckles, check this link out for some real neat knuckles I found surfing the web. http://www.mrknuckles.com

I see there is a forum for swords, knives, and other related products at this site. How about adding a forum on knuckles? :)

Welcome to Bladeforums! There's some discussion of brass knuckles and similar weapons on the Practical Tactical forum from time to time -- mostly from a user's viewpoint rather than a collector's, but we have a few collectors too. Try searching Practical Tactical and you'll find a few threads -- there's a long thread on a similar weapon on the Filipino Combat Arts Forum, too: The Comtech Stinger

By the way, the classic style with a separate hole for each finger is not favored by users these days.

I just started re-reading that thread and I see there's a lot more than the Stinger in it -- the Stinger is plastic and probably not of much interest to a collector, but there are some brass knuckle variants that would be -- Chas' Keepsafe is beautiful as well as effective: http://members.nbci.com/kilap/Keepsafe.htm

I only collect them, never had to use them yet :)

Mr. Knuckles does make some awsome knuckles, that's for sure. But prices are somewhat on the high side. I guess it would be like buying a semi-custom knife.

I would love to see some made out of stainless steel myself. Titanium is too soft and light.
Knuckles work better if they are on the heavy side, so I have been told ;) Of course if you were to use them, any material even plastic ones could do you some damage. Heavy is better for paperweights :D

I got some aluminum hand made ones also, look real nice, but scratch easier than brass.

The classic finger holes may not be favored these days, but for looks, you can't beat em'!

Thanks for the welcome guys, off now to start my mini-vacation. A whole 9 days away. :)
