Hey Guys, at some point I would like to have a knife that Jerry himself did the work on. You know a Busse BY Busse :D Does anyone know of any specific works that "the Man" has done in recent years that I might be able to locate? The sig. series of the AA is the last that I heard of that he was doing himself, is that correct? Those may be just a bit out of my range so any other info would be appreciated. Thanks

Yeah, how about some of the ones Skunk has been able to pick up recently, like the filet knives. I think your problem with the newer ones is the same as the one with the older ones. Stuff done soley by Jerry doesn't come cheap, regardless of it's vintage. Skunk had some pretty decent prices for the individual filet knives.

i think you may have to stay in the 80's range to be sure. i did get some from a eastern collector that were all done by jerry. i think most of the variants are done by him. if not what the hell else is he doing in the grinding room if not feeding his monkey:confused:

ok men, time to move the thread, mike is on his way, damned censors

You can get a custom done 100% by Jerry now from the custom shop. However the price will up dramatically along with the wait time compared to letting others work on it.

It's nice to have sole authorship pieces, but whoever he has working in the custom shop with him does some damn fine work. Everything I have from them is top notch quality, fit, and finish.

AND to add to what darkporker just said, for the extra cost you get to talk to the shagster and kassi in person!

if you choose to be a real porker you can send candy, flowers, othergoodies, and bare naked pic of yourself (like darklemur and myself do) and get some special treatment from custom.

(that explains why a lot of kids look like lemur and run up to him saying "papa, papa")

anyhow back to the custom shop and shortly before we get busted by the federali (thathoggerkindaguy) i would call jerry and offer him a virgin ;) (jennifer will kick yer ass) or some cbl and order the damned knife!

Just to make sure things are well understood...

No one and I mean no one will ever be calling me "papa" :D

AND before you laugh at my tiping just remember i'm typing at the rate of 423 words per minute. so laugh it up earthlings!

as for YOU PAPA! you can't fool a ol foolster. your seed is sown? all over the east and don't forget that lil gal at 03 (ha :p )

now this thread has gone far enough, clam up darkporker (and its not from collecting busse's i say this) and go to bed, .... BY YOURSELF!

ha HA lemurhogbreath, mikethatporker is on a two weeks vacation!

now we don't have to move the monkey to ditch him. AND jerry is off drunk tonight.

now.... lets talk about the "gifts" you sent to the busse custom shop
mmMMMM???

Read your post again...

Regarding the Signature Series AA's, I'm not sure they have even been released yet. Does anyone have one? They were suppose to be the 9" AA's and as you said all hand done by Jerry. Marc can confirm the price, but I think it was like $1495?

For starters, if I sent the ladies of Busse a full naked photo, well.....if they could still see and breath, they would NOT be sending me any more knives :D:barf: It will be a while before I have the cash to get Jerry himself to grind me something, but I'll work it out. :D So, what items do you guys have that you know the man himself did? Pics please:D :D

As to the Argonne Assaults from this thread

The Argonne Assault is the official "Busse Twentieth Anniversary" knife, as many of you now know although the new Flying Mojo is part of this special Anniversary issue. These knives represent 20 years of Jerry Busse making the best extreme performance fixed blades in the industry. They are unique knives, not to be found anywhere else, and best of all, they are INFI ! We will shortly be posting pictures on this forum of all three knives, for now many of you may have seen the ad that is currently being run in Blade Magazine.

There will be two flavors of the Argonne Assault. First, there is the Combat Grade which will be 7.5 inches long and features a black coated blade. The Argonne Assault Signature Series will be a very limited run ground by Jerry himself and feature the new Busse Signature Series logo (which is reserved for Busse's made exclusively by Jerry). It will be a whopping 9.5 inches long and be available in either satin or bead blast finish.

The Assaults will start shipping in a little over two months. Inital units will go to Larry Brahms at Bladeart (sales@bladeart.com) for the Combat version and Les Robertson at Roberston Custom Cutlery (customknives@comcast.net) for the Signature Series. Price for the Combat Grade will be $797 and the price on the Signature series limited edition will be $1197. The Flying Mojo is $897 and can be ordered directly through me (marc@bussecombat.com).

These knives are sure to become collectors pieces in years to come !

Let me know if you have any questions.

And yes I know of several that are out..

i know he did the "pink apple" that my wife bought and the "harpoon tipped" one i bought. i don't know about the rest.

The GFD's are a safe bet to be done by Jerry.
The Trickster, the Blue Grass Bowie, the Flying Tiger and this is just a guess but I'd say any variant with Serrations. I think Jerry is the only one that adds serrations. (not including the Air Rescue)

I'd also say almost all the variants are done by Jerry but that also depends on what level of variation we are talking about.

:D:D
