Actually a pretty momentous day for me....

I've decided to change from a lifestyle that finds me collecting many different things to a collecting lifestyle that only focuses on knives. The watches, guitar effects pedals, guitars, amplifiers and guns are going away to allow me to focus on the one thing that I find I can enjoy collecting...knives.

I'll still keep a those things that I actually use from these other collections, but I've found there there isn't anything like knives for me when it comes to enjoying the collection and the occasional handling and maintenance of the items in the collection.

Knives are functional, artistic and entirely satisfying to me.

I'm screwed, right? ;)

Yup, i collect and use musical gear too. As long as you never get into fuzz pedals youll be safe lol, they are an addiction

Ive neglected a few hobbies to satisfy my knife hobby.

No more car parts or aquarium, though I did some shopping today for my GFs planted tank.

I have been a firearms collector for many many years, and I still enjoy it, but alas in todays world especially here in the peoples republic of Kalifornia it has become very difficult to enjoy. Knives on the other hand provide me with almost the same and in some cases greater enjoyment, and for now at least little or no intrusion by the State or Federal Government! But beware and viglint my friends.. Dont forget the limitations placed on our fellow knife collectors in places like Great Britain, Australia and yes the five boroughs of New York.

I have always been a HUGE fan of fuzz and I have a bunch that I'll be selling. It's not really going to be easy! ;)

I absolutely love guns and the associated gear, but like you I keep that at a baseline "necessary" level (AK, mags, ammo, and LBE, and a shotgun for animals and clay pigeons). Some guns have come and gone, I had more at one point, a few .22s and shotguns and a handgun and then some, but I ended up selling and trading them off. I'll add one or two once I get my CCW. But while I love shooting and just owning reliable guns for who knows what, they just don't make me happy like good old folding knives. When I get as excited for a $30-80 new folder as I do upgrading to an $800 AK-74 from my '47, we all know what a better way to spend money is, especially on an entry level income! :P

I am fortunate and don't really collect anything but ammunition and folding knives now.

Im up to like 13 i think and i cant stop looking at more. I lean more towards the Doom side of fuzz but i ve got a modded fuzz face and such. Give me a heads up when you place them on an auction site or whatever, i might just be interested.

Our tools and art are too interesting to have but one collection.

I've felt the same way for a long time but knives have really taken over when I think about why I collect and what I enjoy possessing. I'll still shoot, makes music etc., but I can just keep the tools that I regularly use for those endeavors and enjoy them in that way rather than having a sprawling collection that I just don't use.

For some reason, knives have that perfect combination of art/function that I don't quite get from anything else. I've really felt it since I was young and thought that I enjoyed knives mainly because I wasn't old enough to own a firearm. I've come to realize that I love knives just for being knives.....:)

I was more into the Tonebender/Fuzzface side of fuzz. Of course there are the countless variety of fuzz designs out there and I'd probably describe my love affair with fuzz as on the more nasty side than the heavy side. They ARE incredibly addicting. I've owned more than 40 at one time.....no other pedal style is even remotely close to what fuzz gives me! :)

What I like about being a user knife collector is you can have one on you at all times. As a utility item there is no end to their uses. I enjoy maintaining them as well, their small and not to mary parts to deal with. I get a great deal of satification keeping a razor edge on them. I have just gotten into making custom handles, and have made several displays so I can easily look at them. Knives don't take up alot of space as well, easy to move around, ship, etc. If you trying to simply your life based on what you have I think you made the right choice going with the knife collection!

Ive got a PTD Tornita thats on the nasty side, but never really got into tonebenders very much. For what i do Big Muff style works great, my favorite is the Earthbound Supercollider

I collect knives mainly. I imagine I will become a firearms collector in the next few years (still in high school) but other than that I think I will stick to knives. :)

military sprints, although i'll probably need a back-up/replacement for my zdp endura soon. i practice sharpening with it, see.

I have guns a good amount of guns and flashlights but knives are the only thing I really "collect", the other gear is for practical use only

I'm back into knives after a hiatus in guns. I tend to go back and forth. I like flashlights, too, but can't seem to bring myself to buy nearly as regularly on those.

Between guns which came first and knives as of this last year I am now officially screwed for the rest of my life.
