Thanks to you all to help make me even more of an informed consumer on knives.

Right now one knife I am looking at is the SOG Kilowatt. I found one on ebay, but don't know if it is any good. What do you think of the knife? The steel is AUS 8.

As for the other knives I would like to eventually get they would be:
Ka-bar Dozier w/ thumb hole
A fixed blade
Assisted opener

The purchases aren't planned until next year at the least unless I find some great bargains or I decide to order a knife and buy 2 to cut the shipping down by half. I am waiting until I graduate from school to get them otherwise.

Edit: I have two Buck's a Mayo Cutback and Prince.

I have recently saw this knife in some knife magazine, but I can't remember which one. It looked pretty cool, and very functional. If I remember correctly, the reviews have been positive so far. I have also added many Ka-Bar knives to my collection, and I am very pleased with their products.

I just bought the kilowatt that was on ebay and I will say something more about it after I recieve it.

only one comes to mind--small sebenza. I am putting my spyderco buying on hold to save for one.

same here,m I have read about sebenzas for the last 10 years, never wanted to spend that much on a knife but I decided to just get one with ym next pay check to see for myself...Im not expectign a magic knife or anythgin, just a clean, simple, sharp knife that is built string and will serve me well, I can't wait, no turning back now I got a custom sheath being made for it as we speak, lol...

I was going to buy one several tims over the eyars, tried to save, but I would get liek $100 or $150 together and buy somethgin cheaper...not this time...

Same here about not wanting to spend much on a knife. I am saving up for a high quality knife, but I am afraid to get one and be disappointed. That is one reason to wait.

Knives I plan on aquiring in the next 6 months.
3 Spyderco D'allara drop point's
Cold Steel Black Bear Classic
Cold Steel Tai Pan
2 Sog field pups
more stuff in BG-42

Anything found of Ray Cover or Harvey McBurnette at REASONABLE pricing.:D
