In the last couple of years I commissioned some makers to make me a knife with a theme. Now that I have a few of them I would like to share them with you'll. Furthermore I'm interested in other collections with a theme. I want to thank Rich for the instructions on how to post pictures.

Here we go.

Oooops, it isn't working. I will try again after a good night sleep.

Neosporin, thanks for the help but how did you do that? I thought I knew how to do it but I 'm at a loss (I'm already trying again for an hour or so, the sleep didn't help) and I hate to feel stupid :D :D .

The next step is to upload them because I want to give some explanation about them (builder, materials and so on). I read some other threads about this topic but I need heeeeelp. :o :o :o

Marcel,

Quick and dirty method:

Go to you fototime site, select the picture you want to post.

Click on the picture so that it opens up to full size and is the only image in the window.

In your browser address window you will see a full address for just that photo eg:

"""http: //www.fototime.com /%7B960C217E-2FDF-4520-ABE5-7C65A5E1352E%7D/picture.JPG"""

(Ignore the """ and spaces it is just to get the address to show with out being an abbreviated URL)

Highlight the entire address and click COPY.

Then go to the New ?Reply to Thread window, Click on the image icon (mini landscape), When the box opens click on the address box then click PASTE, your full address above should be pasted and the image show show in you post as below:

This knife is made by David Brodziak, the artwork is by Carol Ann O'Connor and the engraving by Roger Chapman. The blade is about 8 inches made of Damasteel Odin's Eye. Here is a detail of the engraving

This one will feature in the upcoming book (part 3 in this great series) of Dr. Darom.

The tanto is also by David and Carol Ann, the blade is made by Gary Wood

The Japanese Dragon is made by Scott Slobodian and it doesn't show but this one is rather huge (blade 11,5 inch overal 16 inch). The handle is made by an artisan from Thailand.

The last one for now is a knife that's made by Arpad Bojtos and depicts St. George and the Dragon. Arpad is a guy who makes his knives all by hand without any electricity driven tools (see p 76 in David Darom's book 2).
