What are some knives that you can only stare at? That you could never dream of owning? For me It's Jay Fisher knives (Google him). $1000+ for a single knife? sheesh, I remember when $20 was alot...

Hinderer sadly. I'm crazy, but just can't justify the secondary market prices for an XM. And Rick doesn't come to these parts often..

Here are some I think it's safe to say, I have a zero chance of ever owning...

I guess they're always something to strive for.:o

There are plenty out there for me, Jay's knives just immediately come to mind. I usually spend under $100, and love great deals at cheap prices.

Just about anything with the name "Randall" in front of the model number. And just to think, I could have bought one back in the day, used, for about $100. If I bend over, will someone kick me? Hard.

Scott Cook Lochsa anybody?
I just had to go change my pants cuz of all the drool just mentioning the name.

With either knives or guns, any of that super craftsmanwork stuff with engraving, scrimshaw, inlay, exotic hardwoods, esp on a technically superior design. All that museum quality stuff. If I was Bill Gates I might collect the stuff.

Oh man... Dont get me started. I dont even think there is any drool left.

Ive never been a fan of the museum quality, super fancy works. Don't get me wrong. there beautiful. but i find simplicity mixed with a good dose of utility and innovation to be the most attractive. My dream knife would most likely be the Bladerunners Alpha Beast. this knife is my holy grail. ill own it someday.......someday...

Hinderers.
I almost said Striders too, but I'm sure someday I'll dish it out.
Until there's alot of fun money hanging around, Ill keep my purchases under $200.00

Anything with exotic materials like mammoth, ivory, etc.

Also ancient cutlery as seen in museums.

The MCKF 1 and the nexus Tito been after these for about 4-5 years, both by Molletta along with the mckf group?I have looked everywhere ,even sent emails to Molletta with no luck...kind of wish lionsteel would make another run of these I think they would sell very well.

+1 on hindered xm knives. I love my zt 0550, 0560, and 0561 but just don't have the income to spend what his go for on a single knife.

Fantasy knives, swords, hatchets... etc. I'd never dream of owning one. I won't even pick one up for fear that someone I know might see me with such a ridiculous thing in my hand.

MSC's and DDC's. Todd Beeg Bodega. Terry Guinn balis. Chuck Gedraitis bali. Basilisk. Ikoma Guardian Angel. The list goes on. The more I collect and learn, the more I want :D

I actually have one on order.I ordered at the end of 2010,so I should expect an email/phone call from Scott around 2015.

My dream knife is the Busse Team Gemini Light Brigade, but short of Mr. Busse sending me the knife out of the kindness of his heart, or somehow snagging one from someone who has no idea about what they have I will never likely get my hands on one. Someday MAYBE......
