Besides the Sebenza, are there any other knives (production or custom) you can take apart WITHOUT voiding the warrenty?

Benchmade. :) Just don't tell them that you did it. Who's to know, if you do it right? :D

As stated Greco folders.

They go so far as giving you the proper sized allen wrench to do it, and they even sell repair kits on the website that deals exclusively in Greco Knives. The kit includes new bronze bushings, two hex wrenches, and the SS inserts\screws. The kits even have the thumbstudes included. All that for $6, it's a pretty good deal imho.

The one thing that I will say about the supplied allen wrench is that I would throw it away before it causes you grief. I have rounded off the end of mine and nearly stripped the screw head. Yea, the screw is stronger than the wrench. Not my idea of a good wrench.

Other than I want a pocket clip on mine, its a great knife.

you can basically take any knife apart, how would the manufacturere ever know you took it apart? they don't have any seals or marking on the screws like on cars

You know, it's true, you can take any knife apart. But the real talent comes in putting it back together again.

Hell when I was a kid I bet my Old Man that I could take my motorcycle apart with just a hammer, Vicegrips, and a 4Way screwdriver.

I did, and I won $5, boy did I show him. Next, he walked away and said,"have fun puttin' it back together," he laughed, sayin',"Just goes to show any idiot can take somethin' apart"

I have taken ALL of my REKATs totally apart (and put 'em back together) for adjustment/customizing. No problems, but I didn't go and snitch myself off to REKAT that I did it, either, and since they are no-longer a presence here on the Forums I have nothing to worry about in "them" finding-out that I take REKATs apart.:D.

Warrenty???...I don' need no stinkin' WARRENTY!..

Here's 2 but you'll still void the warranty.

After some more thought on the subject I would say that any folder with screws is one that you can take apart. It's the whole warrenty thing that's messing with the fun.

Please forgive me if I don't seem to answer you question, but...

If hygiene and easy cleaning is the top priority issue, why don't you buy an "one piece" knife instead? :)
