I was scrolling down the forum threads when i came to the Cult of the Peanut thread, well i had not visited there for a while also i had sold all my Case knives when i discovered GEC, see i cannot afford to keep all the knives i buy so i sell the ones that dont get used or that i just was disappointed with for one reason or another, then i thought hold on i kept that chestnut bone Peanut that i rounded the spearpoint blade on, then when i checked my EDC box i found four Case knives that i could not part with, first the Sodbuster Junior that was the first Case i bought and had to be tapped with a ballpein hammer to cure blade play then a med Stockman that i bought as part of a two knife deal from the guy i usually sell my knives on to it had gone through the washing machine in his jeans pocket and the blades were a bit marked up, i tidied it up a bit and it used to live in my yard coat pocket, then there was the second of the two knife deal a Case 32024 1/2 "boys knife" now i know i can not date it exactly but the latest it could of been made is 1967 so it is the oldest USA made knife i own, picking up old knives in good condition just does not happen over here ( at least in my experience ) and buying on the bay is against their rules the UK being on the no no list and finally the chestnut bone Peanut i could not part with. As i thought about it i have a fair few knives i could not part with in my knife bag, although to be honest some i would sell but just cant be bothered with the hassle, anyhow they will all pass to my little great nephew eventually, he keeps enquiring after my health ever since i told him he was in the will, he is only nine but shows promise, he cut up a pizza box very neatly with the Sodbuster under supervision of course. I would be interested to hear of those knives you can not bear to part with.
