Knives you didn't know you had

Got an order Friday for a mandatory evacuation due to a nearby fire, started packing up my most valuable items (my knives of course) and found a Scrapyard 1111 I didn't even know I had! Either knife gnomes are planting goodies in my stash or I ordered this one, used it, and totally forgot I had it! Even better than finding a $20 in your pocket!

Anyone else ever find any hidden goodies they don't recall purchasing or having?

So that's where I left that... :p

Same happened to me cleaning my gunsafe out...found a case of .45 acp I forgot I purchased....needless to say I went shooting that weekend.

I have the opposite problem. I remember knives that I can't find. A DSSF that is gone forever, and a missing black Spyderco Southard are still bugging me.

Oh and a ratmandeux LE that went missing in transit. The USPS insurance won't take care of it because it was international. Why did I pay for the expensive insurance again?

Could I name all the blades I own off the top of my head....not a chance in the world... would there be something I didn't remember buying.... probably not.. but it really would be a nice surprise.... like finding the Scrapper5 and HRLM that I thought were lost for good ... I was searching for the HRLM and found the Scrapper (nearly 2 years into its vanishing act) then found the HRLM (only noticed as MIA that day but not seen in several months) an hour later.... :D :D

I thought I lost a Spyderco Delica while carrying it, ordered a replacement, then found the original in a pair of shoes I hardly wear... I've had the tv remote end up in the fridge, but never had a knife end up in a shoe... I think I started losing my marbles even before I had a full set to play with.

My knife collection isnt deep enough to forget about any of them yet but as someone above mentioned I found 1k 556 and 500 308 rounds and 25 AR mags on my shelf in my dads safe that I forgot I had

The other day I found a battlemistress I did't remember I had.

But you have so many, it's not really surprising. Do you have them all numbered or something?

No, I just have them laying around, but I have several in places where I might need them and I forget about them. Like in the trunk of my car, in the hidden pocket of my back pack, etc.

Cobalt probably has so many, he can start counting them and forget the first 20 before he finishes. I think many of us have seen some pretty big collections from him and other hogs...not surprised we forget. Heck, I only have two chunks of INFI and forgot one of them is at the spa last week.

The Spa? I never thought of going to a spa with one.

People do look at ya weird. ..but a nice chunk of INFI sure does stoke the coals well in the steam room.

Been reviewing my Bussekin recently. I discovered a Dog Father I didn't know I had, as well as several INFI Scrap Yards. Those were all great deals for INFI. Forgot about my Euro 6s too, and the Basic 4 LE.

I haven't found the little Assault Shaker yet (the one that started it all for me) but I think I know where it is. Sadly I found some rust growing on the spine of my SAR8LE. That's one thing I found and wish I hadn't.

Same here. I keep a list of all my Bussekin but I can't remember them all. I was chatting with someone recently and totally forgot I owned quite a few - funny the 11-11 was one of them.... ;)
