So, we've all got knives right?
And I know a lot of us have really good knives, but they were fricking discontinued, and you put it away just because, well, for no good reason really. Except that you've got other knives that are every bit as good, but that still doesn't stop you from using almost all of your other knives....
Which Knives do you have that you can't find it in yourself to use, and why?
For myself, I've got an Old Spyderco Terzuola knive (not the Starmate) with no liners. I love the military, and I know I'd like it even more (because it's smaller), but I just can get myself to use it.
Also, I have a green Ares Knife of the month that I can't myself to use. I already have a 710 with an axis lock, and I tell myself there's no point in messing up the Ares.

My Phil Booth Minnow
I keep telling myself i'm going to start carrying but i always end up carrying something else!

Same here. Mines the SP-15 liner lock with aluminium scales. Still the best knife I own but I've put it away because I don't want to wear it out. I now use a Military.

a near mint, 25+ year old Case Bowie that I got when my Grandfather died. Everything else is a user.

I have a Buck 124 "Frontiersman" . It was my Dads. He died, I got it still new in box. I won't use it.

An Umfaan I bought from Chris Reeve at the Atlanta 2002 Blade Show; but, I have another Umfaan that I do use -- does the first one still count?

KBAR V111/78 , hehe. 2 blade folder & it's perfect, except for salmon fileting stains. Spyderco Calypso Jr. VG10 plain edge. Polished edge to mirror finish, cuts hair without touching skin.More trouble than it was worth to resharpen if dulled. My dad's Pal RH 36 . Super sharp, stays that way. He got discharged from Army when war started, so he joined the Marines. Keepsakes always have a story attached , it seems.

I have three commemorative knives, Casexx Kentucky Bicentennial, Colt Firearms, and a U.S. Bicentennial knife. All three have etched blades and the U.S. Bicentennial is numbered. With all my other more recent pieces,I don't mind keeping these under glass.;)

I don't use my Randall Sasquatch or my Stek damascus presentation Bowie, but I use everything else. Okay, I haven't used my Busse MoFo because I have a CG Mr. Mojo, which is almost the same knife. And I haven't used my Himalayan Imports Dui Chirra Berk special because it's so purty and I have other khukuris to abuse. But I use 90% of my knives. No safe queens here.

Well, I had a Project I that I couldn'r bear to use for a long time. Then I did a real number on my right pinky (shraded a couple tendons) and sold it right afterwards. Never cut one thing with it....except myself. :grumpy:

Though a lot fall into the EDC catagory :) just can't bear to use this one

My Spydie CF Police. Too pretty although I'll like to use it as my EDC. But just can't bring myself to do it....

I think it's fair that the knife of a deceased family member or knife bought strictly for collector value or art can be left out of this thread. Same thing with old military knives. To me it just goes without saying, but if you want to mention them, please do, it's been really interesting so far. Thanks all.

BM 855-05 -- bought it for the neat blue/black scales; turned out to have the absolute worst grinds on any knife I've ever handled (should have sent it back to the dealer, but I didn't :o ).

Spyderco Military (Forum 2000) -- not because it's a limited edition, but because the knife is just bigger than I prefer.

Centofante tail lock with abalone scales -- I bought this from Mr. Centofante at the 2002 Blade Show with every intention of carrying it. I still plan on carrying it, but can't seem to find the right occasion :).
