Post knives no longer in your possession and the reason they are gone!

Here are some of mine:

I actually liked this one, but it was only a placeholder for the Military version. I never used it and I wanted less knives with compression locks in my collection anyway. When I got a good offer it was instantly a goner.

This one started my disenchantment with compression locks, I tried unsuccessfully to break in the lock for a month or two, and I don't even like to fidget. It was a relief to see it go. 😌

Another placeholder, this time for the fluted CF Native. It made me realize that tactical style is not really my thing. Never used it, mostly because I have enough SE Salt users.

And here is a warning to everybody:

I sold the three knives on the right to the same buyer last Aug, shipped USPS insured, USPS „lost“ the package, and I‘m still fighting with them to get my money back:

Since then, I don‘t ship USPS packages insured for more than 1k$ anymore …

Don't even tell me that
I have two knives lost coming from Caulifiornia right this moment !
Fortunately they aren't so expensive as yours.
Good Luck anyway

- Koenig Arius. The knife was fantastic in every way, but I was scared to carry/use it because it was "too nice", and it pained me to have $700 worth of knife just sitting in a drawer. Might as well sell it to someone who will use and enjoy it.

- Benchmade Mini-Osborne. Great small knife, but as it turns out, a bit too small. Sold it to a gent that was tickled to get it, so it was a win/win.

- Hinderer Half Track. I owned two, I always seemed to carry the same one, so I sent the neglected one down the road. Great knife, but no regrets.

I recently sold these two knives. They are switchblades that I built/converted from boot knives.

I sold them for two reasons-

1. Although these knives had been among my most prized possessions, last October I began converting Cold Steel Ti-Lite 6's into switchblades, and those T6 conversions turned out to be, what is for me, the ultimate switchblade. As a result, I have pretty much lost interest in owning other switchblades. I compare it to finding the ONE perfect woman who causes you to lose interest in all other women. It came as a big surprise to me that this could happen, but I haven't felt the slightest bit of loss or regret since selling them.

2. The other reason is, although I have always been a bit of a minimalist, as I get older I find myself becoming more minimalist. As a result I'm not interested in holding onto a bunch of stuff (including once prized switchblades) that I no longer feel a passion for, nor have any practical need of.

I sent them on to good homes (two local collectors I know).

Here is an abbreviated slide-show illustrating the conversion process of the first knife pictured above.

And here is a pic of my Cold Steel T6 conversions, the switchblades that ruined me for all other switchblades 😁.
