Knives your looking for.

I guess most everyone is looking for something they just can't find.
The only thing I am looking for (at the moment) is a new 154ot. They are fairly common, but just can't seem to get my hands on one.
Anyone else looking for that elusive knife?

theres one on ebay right now its a buy now, 29.95 it a USA made look to be a older one  RYAN

There is another one listed as a 1540T (154 zeroT) for $14 and no bids with 3 days left. It isn't new but would make a fine user.

If you haven't discovered it yet, sometimes a seller will list a knife as ---0T (a zero instead of a capital O). I find a lot of knives that are mislabled. I just bought a 10OT that was listed as a 100T, in other words it was listed as a one hundred "T" instead of a ten "OT." I got it for $10 plus a stiff $12 for shipping, still in all not a bad deal.

It makes a big difference to eBay's search engine whether you use a zero or a O.

Hope this helps,
Dale

Old Timer search continues:

106OT
13OT
146OT
19OT
246OT
34OTY
44OT
53OTG
8OTY
93OT

Not too bad...some have not been easy, or just too much (like over $100 for the 106OTs on ebay).

I picked one of these up a while back. It's UH tho, with walnut handles.

I'm not aggressively buying like I was last year, but my list is similar to Waliguy's.

Instead of chasing overpriced rare models, I've found satisfaction in buying low-cost variations of the common models (Belknap contract Old Timers for instance). Over $100 for a plastic-handled factory-made knife, forget that.

Hey Bob! I haven't seen you around here for a while. Welcome back.

It's been a while since I poked my head in here. I do cruise the Community and Gadgets sections occationally. Like I said, I'm not agressively buying like I was last year, and I've kind of set the knives aside for a while to make room for working crazy hours, an ailing senior dog, and a new baby.

Glad to see you all are still going strong!

Best Wishes,
-Bob

I don't want to threadjack but what does a 10OT look like?
Last time at a gun show a fellow had what I thought was a 7OT with a home cut guthook in the blade , didn't findout till later what a 9OT looks like.
The crying part is, it was excellent shape for 15.00.

The 10ot was the old Barlow pattern. I need to add a couple of those to my small collection, but to many others knives keep getting in the way.

To help or confuse just a little.. THe 10OT is an Ulster. Schrade for some reason had Old Timers running in both lines up untill at least 1966. The Ulsters were the 10OT,12OT, 13OT 50OT and 58OT and the 114OT Camper used in the Prince Albert campain (I cant prove this one yet!).
the 10,12 and 13 are all Barlow patterns with different main blades. A little more useless info. The 58OT was actually advertised in both Ulster and Schrade Walden flyers but only appeared in the Ulser catalog.

Larry,
Do you have a picture of the 114OT Camper?
The 12OT & 13OT Ulsters are different than the 12OT & 13OT Schrade? Because the 13OT Schrade is a fixed blade.

Just curious,
Dale

I have a picture of the 114 which I can post, but havent found a flyer with the OT stamp on it yet. I'll keep looking.
You are of course, correct about the 12 and 13 Schrade OT's.
Just makes it more interesting to collect these things :D

We'll see. Still has a few days to go. While it wasn't apparent in the pictures, I want to see the NICKEL SILVER FINGER GUARD.

Aaarrggg!!!!!! :grumpy:  :thumbdn:
I just got my package today and instead of a 10OT Ulster Barlow I got a Western Barlow w/ broken tip & an Imperial/Prov. R.I. Barlow w/ a small blade so rusty I can't even get it open. The strange thing is that the seller had two other auctions with these knives individually in them. I am hoping he just screwed up and sent me the wrong knives. I WANT MY 10OT!!! (to the tune of an old Dire Straits song).

I'm still looking for my mint 150T that was posted mid-June..

E-mails going back and forth, calls to Customs, calls to Post Offices..

It can get frustrating to say the least, but in the end..

'All you can do is sit and wait..'

ps. I did get a lovely 70T with leather sheath yesterday in the mail, so at least I have one new toy.
