mmmmmmm....

In addition to my tan Izula, a black Izula and RC6 just came in the mail to keep it company.... as with my first Izula, the black one came razor sharp.. but to my big surprise, the big honkin' RC6 is just as sharp!!!

Just didn't expect a blade that size to come that sharp!!!

I've got another knife coming UPS, not an ESEE (don't shoot me) so when it comes in I'll take some pics of the family..

Just because it is ESEE forum doesn't mean you need to only buy ESEE. They'd tell you this themselves.

I know.. that's what I love about the ESEE family... the "other" forum section probably isn't as welcoming... my one on the way is a Busse
 
When I get a knife that isn't as sharp as I'd like I just shrug my shoulders and sharpen it up until I'm happy with it. But I do wish all manufacturers would put a decent edge on their knives - it definitely makes them more impressive right out of the box! My Becker BK-7 & BK-9 came VERY sharp, the 9" long blade of the BK-9 being a level above 'shaving sharp' makes it a little scary, I like that! :thumbup:

It doesn't surprise me that ESEE knives also come sharp, they are the sort of company that doesn't forget the finishing touches. My Izula is one sharp little knive - good to play with straight away!

Hey rrambo. Yeah My 6 came scary sharp as well. Just cuz its a bit bigger won't change quality control from ESEE, cuz when I got my Junglas!!!!! Its just as sharp as my 6. Just think of a blade that size,! that sharp! WOW. And whats Really cool...!!! Is you're gonna cut and cut, and slice, and chop, and that edge will STILL be there.!! So far out of ALL the knives I tested over a 30+ year play time with steel&blades ESEE Is one of the best edge retention knives made in the World.! I'm not joking here. I would put up my ESEE's against ANY other knifes for edge holding. Even mine (A tie) And I've been into metalurgy for a long time. Have fun with yer 6 and watch yer fingers:D enjoy. edgy :thumbup:
