I'm relatively new here, signed up on January 1, 2012. I actually got my first Bussekin in December, a Rucki from the Swamp Rat Co. store. 4 months later and I now have 11 Busse, 6 Rats, and 2 Dogs.

I decided to make the to make the 4 1/2 hour trip. When I got there, I didn't calculate the time zone difference, so I was one of the last 3 or 4 to make it. I absolutely didn't know anyone there, and most seem to be familiar with each other. Pokey was the first to introduce herself, and slowly I started talking to a few guys around. All the Busse guys and Gals introduced were very friendly There was some knife talk and even some gun talk before we got the 1 hour preview. There was pizza and desserts the crew had brought. I was really wanting 2 knives, a SNFO and SAR4. I asked a bunch of questions to pretty much anybody that gave me eye contact and everyone was patient with me. Thank all of you for taking your time to answer all my questions. I decided I would add a FBM to my wants.

So the frenzy starts and I totally feel out of water. By the time I look at the tables, it seemed like half the knives were gone. I got my SFNO, but the only SAR 4 was way too pretty. I was only looking for users at this time. When the smoke cleared I switched my original SFNO for a different one, picked up a BWM(FBMs were gone), B4, Boss Jack, and an ASH that was put back. As we waited to settle up I got to talk to a lot of others and see what they scored. Everyone was civilized through the whole event. I would have liked to stay and have some beers with everyone, but I already had plans to be at the NRA convention the next morning. Maybe next time, and I'll bring the booze. I headed back to St. Louis knowing that this won't be my last.

Sorry this is long winded. I want thank the Busse family that included Garth, Pokey, Lexi, Dan, and Beef. Hope I didn't leave anyone out. I also want to thank the rest of you guys that made it such a great experience.

Thanks again,

Luck

Congrats on your scores man!!
That saber ASH 1 is a BEAUTY!!!

SWEET scores dude. That ash1 is a killer blade indeed. Dont think too many saber ash's have ever been made. Welcome to the madness

Oge, your last post # is weirdin me out mang:p

glad you could make it; my first experience at the KC ganzaa was an eye opener.. You have to go in with a plan to move fast, prioritize your main INFI to go for, then secondary.. I brought my son with me this time, which was his first time at a Ganzaa, and he said, that after listening to the conversations, the Beautiful INFI during the preview, that when he was going down the stair to go in, he was on an adrenaline rush, just like going on patrol in Iraq.. He'll be back. I got him a blue/black Tank buster, which he has been showing off to all his friends since.
My first time at a show, all I wanted was a SFNO, there were about 7-8 all together, when garth yelled go, Resinguy grabbed all that was in front of him... I was ticked... but then a said to myself, "don't get ticked, grasshopper > learn the ways of the trough" then for the next few shows, I learned ways how to get there first. :))) Enjoy, you are now part of the band of hogs :)

Congrats on your scores!! I wasn't there, but almost asked my proxy to grab that Sabre ground ASH. I decided against it so that I could continue saving for blade. Glad you had a good time at knob. I am going to have to learn the tricks of the trough before Blade.

It was awesome meeting you Luck!! Thanks for coming and hopefully you can make it to Blade!!!! Make sure you post some pics of your new users in action!!

Glad you made the trip Luck!!! Sorry, I would have chatted more but I had a pounding headache and tunnel vision for some reason!!??

this sounds like way too much fun! May have to start saving and fly out from California just to get in on the fun next year...

Congrats on your sweet scores Luck, that saber-ground ASH is sexy!

it was nice meeting you Luck, I look forward to seeing you at the next KC, and you got a nice haul!

Thanks for all the comments. Really just wanted to let everyone know it was a great experience. I'll definitely make it back next year. Heck, I'm thinking about making it to Blade this year.

Wasn't there 5 Busse employees there? I think I missed one of there names. I know I remember Lexi, Pokey, Garth, and Beef. For some reason I thought Dan or maybe his tag said Beer Man.

Anyways just wanted to reiterate that I met a lot of nice peeps, and would recommend the trip to anyone.
