In a thread awhile ago that was comparing the NMFBM and the NMFBMLE there was mention of the Knob Creek NMFBM that was thicker than the regular CG model. I believe that what you see here is the Arctic White bladed one that was mentioned in that conversation.Smooth black G10 scales. I call her LAL (Lard A-- Lady). The pix compare her to my CG NMFBM and you can see the major difference. She averages .295 on my digital mic while the CG is .257. The difference in weight is even greater. I don't have a scale but LAL is much heavier, and ,if you look at the last pic, maybe a little longer. Last one wouldn't download:grumpy: One nasty chick!!

Yea that KC NMFBM is a beast to handle!!! Major diff in cutting IMHO and like you said one LAL. Congrats Bro.

I reckon the KC NMFBMCG's were made from left over LE blanks .... a big plus if you were to strip them and do a fully convex edge .... with one of those the sharpening would'nt thin the knife down for a lot of years if you wanted to keep a zero edge.

My NMFBMCG is down to .235" thick now after a lot of use .... when it gets to .22" I think I will start using a secondary micro bevel more .... but equally I quite fancy the idea of it being like a longer BWMLE .... I love that knife just as much .... and if I need a heavy weight chopper .... bring on the KZTT .... that one should last a LONG time on fully convex edges.
