Somebody said I should check custom and handmade. I'm NOT looking to buy, or have anybody make me a knife, just someone who has already made knives that fit my specs.

5.5 inches, or below, lowest 4.

Micarta, G-10, or some nice wood.

USA made.

Carbon steel.

Fully flat ground.

I'm trading a polished rc4 for it.

Thankyou.

Scott Gossman, J Neilson, Butch Harner to an extent (his hunters would fit that bill, I don't know if he really makes bushcrafters), JK/Stomper/John Kiedaisch.

Dan Koster makes good solid bushcraft knives. I got mine in nice tough S3.

"Bushcraft" invoke an image of a very specific type of knife, IMO. You will likely find the knife that you are looking for called a basic guardless full tang hunter or "field knife" Different names, same function. A lot of guys make knives like that.

I really don't know what a bushcraft knife is, but if that nice piece by Koster is representative, you won't be lacking for choice.

Suz is right - check out the maker / for sale forum and see if anything floats your boat.

Take a look at Ray Laconico's knives on his webpage. He does some nice field use knives in several styles. I know that he has used "carbon" steel in the past, I have one :-)

I'll second that. Every one of his knives that I have handled has been top quality, and he charges a lot less than he could. The wait is not very long - I waited about three weeks for this one, which I just got this week. O1 full flat grind, convexed edge.
