Know anything about this?

My coworker in the cubicle next to me whipped this out at lunch today. I didn't know he even had any traditionals. He didn't know anything about it, so I said I'd see if I could find out anything.

Have you guys seen this kind of knife before (ie, older vs newer?, or is there any way I can research it? And I'm thinking I bone (barbed wire carvings are kind of cool). If so, what kind of bone?

Any help would be appreciated. Always fun to find knife-loving pals.

Looks like a Case Copperhead and the bone would be cattle shin-bone.

I think there were only a couple hundred of these made.

I've seen those advertised before. Smokey Mountain maybe? The barbed wire looks better to me on a pocket worn. The catalog pics don't do it justice.
