Is this junk or something from the past? Note how blade is bent.

Thanks.

I think I saw those for sale in the 70s before they were made illegal. Very cheap.

Junk from the past, and dangerous too. As I remember they had a propensity for lock failure which often resulted in badly lacerated or amputated fingers. Sort of like a cigar cutter......

That paints a very vivid picture in my mind, fantastic analogy 👍

Junk, but I wouldn't throw it away. They're sort of a snapshot of 1980's -90's cheap "badboy" knives. Along with cheap Bell Foundry swing guards, Tiger knives, 007s and NATO Military OTFs. Earliest I've seen them offered was 1982-83, and I remember still running into them for $8-20 in the late 90's. The tip bend is common, as the blades are ground thin and have wonky heat treatment. Aside from the bad locks, I never found one that fit the hand well, the finger stalls were always much too tight.

Yes! It is cheap junk from the past. Proof that not everything was better in the "good old days" I guess.

Agree that I would NOT USE the knife . Unsafe !

But it's an interesting piece of history . :)
