Knudsen Knife was a gift from a friend

I have a drop point custom made knife, with a matching wooden blade cover (cover matches the handle, it is a dense dark brown wood with subtle black figuring, blade is about 2.5 inches long, brass finger guard that seats the blade in the wooden handle but does not have an extension to stop finger from sliding toward blade, has subtle finger grooves in wooden handle and no bolsters. The blade says Knudsen, no other marks as far as i can see. Any ideas on the pedigree of this really fine knife?
