I just finished up this Ko Deba (small Deba/utility) in 52100 steel, Double Black Canvas Micarta, Black Micarta Pins and White G10 liners.

I heavily garnet blasted the micarta scales to reveal the texture... the grip is superb especially when wet! I also hand polished the underside and spine, chamfered/rounded/polished the choil and spine. This one will feel great in the hand all day long, something that is very important to me as a former Chef. ...High hardness steel around 62 RC and thin geometry!

This one is spoken for.

Enjoy the pics!

Man, that just looks like a pleasure to use.
Nice work all the way around.

Much appreciated! I used to be a Chef and would volunteer to do anything to help out my knife skills... like cutting 96+ half frozen whole chickens into "eight piece" and realizing my "nice chef knife" had a poorly rounded spine and a choil that would cut my finger after a shift of cutting those chickens... this one isn't meant for cutting through frozen chicken bone but will feel great in the hand all day long.

I love your work, Daniel!

Thanks Rolf! These kitchen knives are always a fun challenge.

hollow chisel grind?!?!?!

Not traditional in any way but this is a thin knife and the hollow slices very nicely. Deba shape... I want to make a thick (.25" at least) traditional full sized Deba with a flat single bevel soon. Fish knife...

Shoot my dad would love that. Great work and hope to see more pics of knife pron

Thanks! That means the most.

You've done another great job here, D!

Thanks B! I worked on one going your way today. :D
