My father-in-law (mother-in-law too) is visiting for Thanksgiving and was interested in my current interest in scale swapping on 110s and 112s. So I says lets do one together. I had a 112 and 110, both NIB and a drawer full of scale I'd been gathering. So he picked the 112 and a straight grain Desert Ironwood. He really like the 112 so I asked if his brother Jim would like one and we did the 110 in KOA for him today. Thought you guys might like to see what a little nice wood can do for a $26 110 and a $31 112. I still have some polishing to do on the brass but these are the pics I took today.

Very nice.... You can e-mail me and I can give my address... ... Where you can send me one for xmas... J/K... ...

Those look good. A lot of scale replacements are just glued in. Looks like you take the knife apart and pin them.

Nice looking knives.

Hey thanks guys. My FatherInLaw is most pleased. The KOA is going to his brother and they are from Nevada. So he saided "I'll bet Jim says this knife will be 'his go to the cat house knife'." I guess that's the same as a dress up knife. Anyway, I thought that was funny.

I got my butt burned on taking a 110 apart so those are faux pins...just throught the inlay and epoxied.
