I picked up an Knives of Alaska Alpha Wolf, this is one of my Favorite Bushcraft blades, here are the specs:
Knives of Alaska Alpha Wolf Knife
Amazing Hunter Style Knife
Fixed Blade Knives of Alaska
Black Suregrip Handle
Specially Textured Conquers Weather
Field Dressing Simplified
8 Inces overall
3 1/4 Inch D2 Steel Blade
100% U.S.A. Made
Drop Point
Maximum Edge Holding Ability
High Quality Oiled Leather Sheath
I used it for a little while tonight and it is like a Razor blade and the thumb grooves at the top of the spine throws Sparks from the LMF firesteel like a fire cracker "Sparkler" From 4ft. from the Ground I was able to shower sparks with 3 stroke of the spine of the blade to tinder(Dryer lint & small limbs) below and catch flame. I was amazed.Excellent leather sheath kinda deep pocket style yet still has the leather snap strap would be perfect if it was not for Righty only.To me the sure grip is alittle small feeling but I still like it so if you have large hands it may not be for you !! to me it is an excellent purchase...
