This is my first linerlock Otter. I have done a couple of these in framelocks. The bronze bolsters are antique patina and anodized liners with Koa wood scales.

Specs:
2-5/8" blade edge; 3-3/4" closed; 6-1/2" overall.
S30V blade with Bronze bolsters, spacer and thumbstud all hand hammered.

Thanks for checking it out!!

Best,
Eric

Eric, that is truly functional art. The colors and the texturing are very nice, too. Outstanding.

That's particularly engaging. Love the shape and the warmth of the texture, grain, and materials.

That hardware surrounding it in Jamie's first shot aren't 'warm', but boy :D does it look great. Props.

your knives look better and better with each new one I see Eric. This one is very nice, a pleasing design and well done.
Now, how about dovetailing those bolsters one day?

Hey thanks I appreciate the comments. I was pretty happy with this folder it is #10 for me but many more to come. I was very happy with how I was able to get the patina and anodizing to work out and the contrast with the Koa. It took a couple test runs on both the antique and ano to get it right. LOL, more to that story Jeremy Marsh helped me to dial it in.

Coop, the prop really can make the difference between a good shot and a great shot, I agree. And Jamie is doing a really good job.

Lorien, funny about this design when I built the first one of these earlier last year it occured to me that for ALMOST any situation this baby was probably going to be all anyone would ever need. I have done the dovetails on my first folder, and I offer them, though I do charge just a little more for that as it is...or can be a little more of a challange. But they sure look great.

Thanks all,
Eric

Very cool folder!
I agree with Scott about the scales and bolsters combo.
I really like the textured surfaces and overall style of this knife.

Mark, this Koa if the stuff I got from you...not sure my pic really do it justice. Thanks for the great wood.

Ray, that comment means a lot coming from you! Thanks.

Best,
Eric

Thanks! I always try to have some fun with Eric's work when I'm shooting. I thought about using a flintlock for the shot, but figured that was too antiquated. ;)

Wow! Koa is stunning. Hammered bolster and the Koa just exquisite. By far my favorite, this one is gonna be hard to beat.
