Here's one I'm just finishing up. It's ground from 5/16" 1075 (been experimenting w/ thick stock). Blade is 7".
Handle is stabilized Koa.

Comments are welcome.

Wow. Very beautiful knife, Sir. What do you think of the thicker stock? I just started that myself, with a piece a little over 1/4" thick (although not quite 5/16). I think I like the thicker stuff, but it takes forever to grind! May I ask, how did you secure the blade in the handle? I don't see any pins.

Thanks very much Beaglebow. The thick stock makes for very deep, defined grind lines which is nice but the heft might not appeal to everyone. It's certainly unconventional on a blade like this one. This knife started out as a partial take down model so it had a thru tang with a threaded end. The tang was so thick that I thought the handle walls might crack so I simply drilled the tang, epoxied it in for handle strength and ground off the excess thread protruding out the back.
Again unconventional, but very solid.
