I want to let everyone know that I ordered some Koa Wood from Tom Mayo, and today I got the package in the mail. Tom went way beyond filling my order. The pieces he send are beautifully figured and even larger then I asked for. This will not be the last order he gets from me.

JEEZ I thought I was getting something special, novel, original, unique, or maybe just different!
I didn't know Tom was supplying the whole DAMN Forum with KOA!!

WELL, mine is different! Tom travelled to all the Islands, hand picking mine from the varios Koa farms.......Then I sent the entire shipment to Stabilizing Specialists International for stabilizing (515-435-4746)
It makes it realy easy to finish and brings out the colors and the beautiful grain.
Tom is very generous and one hell of a guy. If I hit the lottery, a trip to Hawaii and a visit to Toms shop would be high on my list of things to do!
I will have a picture of a Koa handled Tanto on my website by tomorow if anyone would like to take a peek
