I like it. Are the wraps simply one strand that it twisted in the middle or are they multiple strands twisted together?

Thanks everyone. It is one cord twisted 360 degrees across the middle. Your feedback is building my confidence to try my next project. I was thinking of buying another kobun removing the handle and building a tsuka & saya from scratch. I have some zebra,cocobolo,purple heart wood laying around that I was using for home made grips for my .45 But this knife working stuff is pretty addictive.
