I want my next knife to be one of the two but can’t decide. They are priced similarly, both are flippers and are big high quality knives. I want to know which would be better fit and finish wise and also flipping action wise. I wonder if the full track is better because they don’t come up for sale on the secondary market so I’m guessing they are keeping it while I see a few ariuses pop up for sale here and there.
I would like your guys input on this. If there are other knives you recommend, let me know, just try to keep on topic.
Thanks.

I was comparing these two a while ago myself but never did get around to making a move on one. The furthest my research got me was that the Full Track seemed to be an Abrams M1A1 transformed into a folding knife reincarnation and the Koenig seemed to have a lot more refinement and finesse. I’ll be interested in seeing how owners of these two compare them.

The Full Track isn't on the secondary yet cause it just released like two weeks ago. I'd be worried if people were reselling that quickly ;)

The Arius will probably have slightly better action, but that's mainly by design. The Arius is meant to be an action and design showpiece, with the different milling patterns, etc. The Full Track is designed to be a beast user.

If you're looking for a user, I'd go with the Full Track personally. I've handled both.

Exactly. Have and love both but the Full Track would be my go to for hard/heavy use. Tough decision though.

If, as you state, fit and finish and flipping action truly are your priorities, then I'd give the nod to the Koenig. I had one and it was generally perfect in both regards. It was the only flipper I've handled that was really reminiscent of a Sebenza to me, however I did sell it.

I do still an XM 3.5 wharnie though, largely because it is such an amazing knife to actually use. The best ergonomics out there IMO.

The Arius is one of the smoothest knives I've ever had in my hand. I don't have one but definitely want it.. I do have a gen 2 half track running on bearings that I love I would imagine the full track is just a bigger version. If I had my choice id go with the Arius.

The arias is better quality and flipping through and through. But I personally don't like the design. And wish that koneig would make something that's not tacticool.

I would opt for the hinderer over it for only that reason if I were choosing between the two. However for your criteria I would choose the arias. Honestly I'd pick something else over both, just cause neither is really my thing anymore. Holt Bladeworks, grimsmo rask, Shiro etc are more my style.

Mm thx for the input, I like flipping action and smoothness in my knives but I like users not show pieces. I had a reate jack but it seemed ytoo nice to use so it sat in the drawer so i sold it. I think I’m leaning towards the hinderer. I have a xm18 and love that thing. I just love hinderers so I’m pretty sure I’ll like the full track better.

Some folks use there arias. But indeed it may or may not give you that feeling of not wanting to use it. The one I handled was carbonfiber show side.

I have not owned a fulltrack but have owned a arius. The arius is an awesome example of great manufacturing but ooohhh that flipper tab is terrible.

The new gen of Arius have corrected the flipper tab by removing that needless hook. Never made sense and they finally came to theirs. I have the old model with bad tab but I seldom use it. The Arius loves to be Spydie flicked. Having multiple ways to open is cool. Me, I would go Arius as the almost 7 oz weight of the Track means I will never have one at any price. If weight were lower I would like one as I find the blade very appealing.

I have an Arius and the action is stupidly smooth, the ergos are awesome, and with the lightening pockets is light as a feather.

I didnt realize they had made the change to the flipper tab. With that new knowledge I would have to say the arius would be a great choice.

I feel like the Arius is a knife you need to splurge on because I wouldn't be into the plain version. The Full Track looks good as is.

I think a lot of people will be glad of the redesigned flipper tab. Personally I really like the original, and I'm not sure I'd prefer the new one. it's hard to know what holding a knife will be like until you actually get it in your own hand, and for me, with XL-size hands, my index finger comes down perfectly onto the top of the flipper tab to activate it. I feel like it gives me great leverage, and the edge doesn't poke into my finger at all.

The Arius is my favorite all-around use knife. I'm very comfortable with it for hard use, but I bet hard use to me isn't as hard as how some of you use your knives. I find the blade shape quite versatile, and the handle provides the most stable grip of any knife I have. From personal interactions, I'm very confident in Koenig's outstanding service to help address problems, should I ever damage my Arius.

Both are great knife but they are vastly different in size and weight. My Titanium scale Arius at 5.0oz and 5.0” closed length is the perfect edc size for ME. It’s similar in size and weight to my other ideal edc blades such as the XM-18 3.5, the Large Sebenza, the Reate Crossroads.

The Full Track is a larger and heavier knife as I would put it in the same class as the Reate JACK. If I was in your situation, I would go with the knife that is closely resemble (in regards to size and weight) to the knife in your collection that you enjoy carry and use the most.

Good advice. For what it’s worth,
my Arius with a CF scale and lightening pockets is 4.15 oz.
