204p is the same as m390. Xhp is an amazing steel. Also dunno why it would be so important that they do a change to m390 if they do. It's not like many other knives aren't already being made of 20cv, 204p or m390 (all three the same). Give me something different. I'm finding out more and more that Heat treatment is probably more important than the steel type. Just saw N690 cut as good as most other m390 class steels. Just sayin.Just saw a post on ig... Looks like the Koenig team is doing something with m390. Pretty exciting! You all may already know this. I have never truly understood why the cts xhp was the steel of choice.
That's interesting to know . I've only been tracking the Arius on my radar. I'm in agreement that grea treatment is the difference maker .Yeah, clearly they’re just doing another run of mini goblins.
The Arius has been done in both 204p and XHP. Both are solid choices.
