This order is one I'd love to keep for myself -- I'm pleased how it turned out. It has a 7 1/2 hollow-ground blade of 1/4 W-2 and is 12 1/2 inches overall. The hamon turned out very different for me and I think I like it. :D Thanks for giving her a look (better pics to come later).

I just love that blade and hamon, Michael.

This type of hamon looks much better then a "single" hamon line.

Pretty cool knife.

Minus the recurve, looks like it'd be useful in the kitchen and as a medium sized camp knife also.

Wow, Michael, you are really pushing the boundaries with hamons. Your techniques are really working and consistently too. I really like that piece.

The drawing in the background - its good that you didn't do the 3 little holes - it would've looked too much Neil Blackwood, and not enough Michael Burch ! ;)

A small question, Michael, what size contact wheel are you using ? Thanks. Jason.

I keep coming back to look at this knife. I really like it ALOT. That is one good lookin knife. :)

Thanks gentlemen for the kind words. :)

Jason -- me pushing the boundaries? I'm just trying to keep up with you!

I use a ten inch wheel so it's got a touch o' the saber grind. :)

I like the extra belly on the knife vs the drawing. Very nice knife with an unbelievable hamon.
