I have an English Pointer named Kona. Yesterday morning she got into our old decrepit barn. My Wife and I were yelling to her to come to the house when we saw her at the (broken) second floor window. I am on crutches right now so my Wife started for the barn to get her down. I yelled for her to stay.

The next thing I see is a 50 pound Pointer FLYING out of the second story window. She landed out of sight behind another barn. I'm yelling my fool head off. Then she appears on a dead run and leaps up at me as if you say, "what's your problem?"

I checked her over and she seemed none the worse for wear, but NOT the best way to start the day.

They never cease to amaze. Now that I am in a business that deals with 50 or 60 dogs a day (on extra busy days) they amaze me even more.

I don't know if that business must be a job made in heaven or hell. Sounds like heaven to me but all those dogs must be hard to wrangle!

Trust me, it is heaven. Most that come in are awesome. Some take some TLC before they realize they are in safe hands. Without exception they all come around. Only one 'demon seed' in a little over a year. We do get the occasional crazed owners.
