Kopa is nice!

I didn't even know this knife had been released. I also didn't know that Spyerco is going to make multiple versions of it only 600 of each type. Anyway, I had recently stopped buying knives and been away from the forums for months... What a horrible mistake! I've missed so much vital information! Hehe. Luckily when I visited my local knife store there was one Kopa in the display case. "oh my god! I didn't know it was out! It's mine!!!" I love it. Now I have to go buy a nice Kiwi to match since I sold mine.

about that kiwi....OK, now obviously the amber bone would match the cocobolo best, but I've already had 2 of those. I know there are the AG Russell pearl versions, a dino bone version, and the various santa fe stoneworks versions. Am I forgetting any? Are there any that I haven't seen? I know I want another, but I want to be sure I'm not missing anything. Thanks!

Well you could pick up a couple small slabs of cocobolo, then talk Bill Wirtel at Santa Fe into doing up a Kiwi for you with them. That's how the sambar stag one in the picture below came to into being...

I'm still trying to convince Sal that the world needs a Kiwi with a Devin Thomas damascus blade and mamoth bark ivory scales, but don't hold your breath waiting for that one.
