Why are some kopas numbered and some aren't? How many do they number? I read somewhere that there were only going to be 600 made of each handlle material. So do they only number half of them or something?

Like all new Spyderco models, approximately the first 200 Cocobolo Kopas were numbered with collector numbers. Each subsequent handle material will also have some pieces numbers, but not as many, as some collectors elected to only take the "primary" version of each model. The rest opted to take "all variants" and will receive a Kopa with each of the handle materials, all carrying their collector number, with a V suffix to indicate that it is a variant. The Atlantic Salts in the shot below illustrate how the system works. In this case the black SE version was designated as primary.
