I wanted one for a long time so I finally broke down and ordered a Black Micarta Kopa. I was torn between Cocobolo and Black Micarta but decided I was more of a synthetic handle material kind of guy. ;)

Congratulations on your Kopa. It is a wonderful knife. It is small, but heavy enough. I use finger choil to hold her and it is very comfortable in my hand. Leaf shape, full flat ground, very nice knife. I have five of them and love them all. They are in front of me as we speak.

Wow 5 Kopa's. What handles?

The small size is what attracted me to the Kopa. I also have a Salsa and Blue Almite Walker. Spyderco makes great small knives.

I have Kopas with Micarta, Cocobolo, Evrina, Tiger Coral and Apple Coral.
Salsa and Blue Almite Walker are very nice knives, but sadly I cannot buy every knife I like. I had a SS Cricket, but my wife has it now.
Good luck with your Kopa. You will love it.

You may have waited a long time to pull the trigger, but you will not be disappointed. I consider it to be one of my classier gent's knives. As usual, watch yourself as it'll come out of the box incredibly sharp. Besides the Black Micarta, I also have the Red Apple Coral.

I usually wait until they are discontinued then bang my head against a wall when they are all out of stock. It saves me money but gives me a headache. Yeah, I'm a bit slow and a $100+ knife is kind of a rare thing for me.

I just got my shipment confirmation. Almost mine.

This is a good news.
By the way, our favorite pharmacy, NGK put Apple Coral on special $105, it is a very good price.

^I love that apple coral and I also am a big fan of the tiger coral. The torquiose sure is a beauty also.

There should be one with dino-bone, right ? I guess if I ever pick up a Kopa, that should be the one...

It arrived this morning. Wow. The fit and finish are amazing. The lockbar is flush and completely smooth with the handle in both the open and closed position. In fact all the lines flow on this knife in both open and closed positions. The micarta scales, bolsters, and pins are all have seemless transitions and the scales are beautiful! It's a small knife but feels solid as an anvil. The lock feels strong and beefy, like something you'd find on a large tactical folder, not a small gentlemans knife. Someone took some real time and effort in designing this thing.

 Spyderco!
