Korean War folders

Are there any special characteristics of Korean War military folders that separate them from civilian knives?

Some civilian knives had 'Property of US Govt' etched on the blade. I don't know if they started this in the 50s

I'm not sure if there were any special characteristics, the folder I was issued in Vietnam had "Property of US Government" on the main blade. I still have it and its actually readable.
