After looking at some posts from Jeff Valasco (BrB - Brazilian Blades) and admiring the Amazonas model made by Korth Cutlery (Ricardo and Roberto Lala) I had to have one. Plus I wanted yet another international piece in my diverse Kumbaya collection.
Emails were exchanged with Jeff, and he acted as an intermediate as I asked for some specific qualities: Ivory micarta? red spacers? How about making the bolster to scale transition on a forward angle instead of 90° as I had seen...? Dress it up, please....
Yes, yes, yes. Sure, they can do that.
Crazily it only took about two months....

Check out this great 'orange peel' finish on the bolsters.
It also includes the legendary IKBS Ikoma/Korth ball-bearing system in the pivot. Smooth and tight.
I love the fuller in the blade. really an eyecatching and functional aspect, as it acts like an I-beam in strength.
The checkered beam is easily functional as an opener either one-handed or with a pinch grip.
The guys surprised me with the ivory backspine and red liners twice. It's like racing stripes! They didn't leave the clip as an add-on and gave that the same stylish attention as the rest of the knife.
Lastly, even my photos don't include the jeweling inside the liners. The screws have also been turned. Every area has been finished.
I am MOST pleased with everything about this knife. On top of that was the friendly willingness from all of the guys to work with me on my preferred aspects. Not that it needed more.
I'm priviledged to own this knife. So much so we are going to try to write up a magazine article chronicling the brothers and their work. I can try to get our foot in the door with these good images anyway....
So, you guys get the previews....
