I contacted Dan and I have his permission to post this here.

Dan provides sheaths for his knives that are either Kydex or Leather. His leather sheaths are made by JRE and are of a fine quality. I owned his first generation Bushcrafter with a JRE sheath and it was very nice. In fact, it was the knife that sold me on not only getting nice knives and the sheath was what sold me on making sheaths.

However, there are many customers of Dan's who have purchased his knife without a sheath and would like to buy a custom sheath made to their specifications. I would like to provide quality custom sheaths for those that would like something a little different.

I am going to make these sheaths in runs of five until there are no more interest.

Here is what the sheaths look like:

I have the knife above on hand (my God it is a lazer!) and thus would not need for you to part with your knife for the wet forming.

Above: Seen on left - Black sheath without firesteel loop. Seen on Right - Brown sheath with firesteel loop but no lanyard tube.

The base sheath costs 50 dollars - however - you have many choices with each sheath made:

1) Your choice of color - Included.
2) Lanyard tube - Included - but optional.
3) Add a removable dangler to your belt looped sheath +5
4) Add a Firesteel loop to your sheath +5
5) Additional tooling - PM for quote.
6) Also you have a choice in the D-Ring that you can order. Standard welded D-Ring or the fully removable D-Ring seen below:

Just in case anybody is on the fence about these, I got mine yesterday. I'm extremely pleased with it. The finish, retention, and stitching are excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to order another one from Jason. Top notch job

Thanks man - I am glad to hear you got it - His is the brown one in the photo above. If this one fills - I will open another one in a week or so - I just don't want to get too far behind.

Dan, I would love to do a trade.

I will call you when I get the next batch done. I am in the mood for one of your Nessmucks me thinks! ;)

Thanks for the compliments - I forgot to tell you - I copied your leather work bit by bit on your site - you really helped me get into sheath making.

The 3rd Generation Bushcrafter...that's the 2009 one that Dan is currently delivering, right? If so, I'm interested!

Thanks!
