I had to liquidate awhile back, and this

went to a new home.
I miss it terribly, but Dan is going to make me a new one from 3V and Carbon Fiber. My only concern now is getting the same style of sheath. This was also one of my favorites. I am extremely happy and can't wait, so I wanted to see others post user pics of their Koster Nessies. Post em if ya got em!

My 3V Nessmuk is coming soon I hope ;) ;) and I will SURELY get some user pics in this thread when it gets here.

That is an awesome Nessmuk you let go, but from the description of your new one it sounds like you have one awesome Nessmuk coming to replace it!

I plan on jumping on these as soon as I can.

I need to get some Christmas stuff out of here first....finish up those kukri rehandles....and then I'll be back in production on orders.

Thanks Dan! I wasn't trying to rush you. I just like looking at knives when I'm not holding one. OK, when I'm holding them to. My youngest son (2 yrs) sits with me and looks at knives too.

Hey Dan,
How is this one listed on the order tracker? I want one of those.

Wil

Just place an order for a Nessmuk, choose your steel (and thickness!) and select "guard" and "pommel" in the options area.

Okay, now I feel bad...........because I have this knife.

If it even remotely looked like that anymore, I might have been willing to work something out with you. But, I have put a user finish on it, and convexed the edge. The good news is that I use it a lot, and it is very loved :) You can't ask for much more than that.

I am sure Dan will set you up though, and all will be good again.

Also, I am probably making a new sheath for mine in the next week or so. If you are interested in getting this sheath back, PM me.

Brian

Don't post the pics of the fuzz stick you did with yours again or he will be upset...... :o

The knife is well loved though like you said ... I know that for a fact. ;)

Brian, I was just bellyaching. Pay no mind to the whining. I've seen your other posts, and am very happy it went to you. It took it going to another home to make me realize how much I love that design.

Is that one hollow ground? I'd like to see a close up pic of one of Dan's with a convex grind if anyone has one.

This one is a high flat grind. I would not want it if it were hollow ground.

When I sharpened it, I did it with a belt sander. So the secondary bevel is now mildly convex. Nothing that really shows up in photos well. If you want to see one of Dan's convex grinds, I will leave that for him to show.

I like the high flat. Does that pommel extension have grooves on the end for scraping?
