Kothimoda Flagship

I know people have them. I have now contributed everything I know about this subject in your thread. Thank you.

I picked up one some time back that was a blem. It had a small crack in the horn handle which I was able to repair with super glue.
What astounds me about this khukuri is how awesome the khukuri is as a user. It is one of the best balanced and perfect feeling khukuris that I own. If I had Terry Sisco build a user sheath, it would make a great user! The sheath is a work of art, but mainly a display piece. I would not want to damage the soft silver that the sheath is so heavily covered with. My words are not up to describing the complete perfection of this khukuri. It is a combination of a piece of art, and a exquisite tool that would make a great workhorse if it were needed to be. I have too many useres to ever need to put this one into service as more than a bedside beauty!

Through no fault of my own  I ended up with two.

My great respect for Bura's work blossomed when I handled the first. Even to a newby to Khuk's, it was an incredible blade. As the HI website states, Bura made them to be used even if they probably won't be.

The second one is the first HI Kothimoda made. Came to me by the grace of Berkley. Its slightly larger and heftier than my late model one. But the silver work is more intricate. It's been lovelingly put on a display stand now.

I actually wear them to formal occasions out here when tuxedos or "National Dress" is needed (I figure a Kothimoda must qualify for National Dress somewhere). So perhaps if a terrorist ever raids a party, they actually will be used by someone(I'll hand it to the biggest guy there! ;) ). :D

One of these days in the near future, I will add a Kothimora to my stagnating small collection of khuks. Meanwhile, I am sizing up the market....... :D
