What kind of big blade would you like to see Christof make? Here's a couple that I have pondered:

- Cleaver
- Barong/parang/golok
- The Pitdog camp challenge knife

Anybody else?

+1. I've already pinged Christof about a Parang. He's kinda slow on the uptake....;)

I'm working on it, actually. The SEA (southeast asian) knives- 2 designs, one with a narrow spearpoint and one with a 45 degree angled straight clip.

That's what I'm talking about:thumbup: Any teaser pics?

hahaha, not today. I'm just waiting for the power to go out for good. we're peaking 50mph gusts and over 2.25 nches of rain so far today......

okay, you need to update your thoughts :D

Pah-rang.

Or is it Puh-rang?

Anyway, recurve or "S" blade with clipped end forming a short point. Blade length 12-14". 1/8" or 5/32" stock for some heft. Contoured handle for all-day cutting comfort. Lanyard tubes in the handle for and aft for different attachment points.

...14" blade. I think having a recurve allows one to keep one's knuckles out of the way more easily when cutting close to the ground or against a stump or root.

How's them thoughts?

I've got a newly arrived sheet of old 1/8 inch bandsaw blade in the shop. good stuff, I've used it before. should be good for about 8 blades like that.....
