Just when I thought I'd seen or imagined the ultimate FF, I found this.
I love it.
I wish it was mine.

It happened again!
Can anyone ID these scales?

I'm grateful so much of Andy's work is archived this way. Amazing body of work!

This is my favorite blade because the grind is so high.
I love the way light is reflected off these big convex grinds.

I believe #4 is the non-burl brother to the one I am shipping you! They were beside each other at Blade 2014! Scott at usamadeblade bought those two (if I am not mistaken).

LavaWood,

The KPH on the way to you might be the most sophisticated Fiddleback of them all! The ironwood burl is INSANE and the white pinstripe is oh, so thin... just enough to let you know it's there! I hope she helps you in the quest for the perfect KPH! Andy seems to have made some very unique KPH's, you never seem to see two alike!

Will,
Thank you for opening your vault and sharing this Ironwood KPH.
I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Lavawood, I absolutely love that bolstered OO model. What are the stats on that thing again? It looks stainless.

Michael

.750 thick in the middle
.150 thick at the hilt
Stainless,
Glowing osage with a portrait of a man passing through a black hole
A"squarish" pinch.
Some KPH's have a round pinch like the tuxedo I had, which totally changes the feel

More pictures in the trio thursday thread, I think

I'm calling the pinch the narrowest cross section of the handle. The shape ranges from cylindrical to square.
This one is 50/50
I think round is good for admiring, square for work

The carbon fiber KPH was square, the tuxedo was round.
I would love to get that CF back..
