this is probably a stupid question, but exactly how do I go about getting my Emerson Kreined?

googleling all things Krein hasnt helped much

I cant even find the website. Is it even a website I should be looking for?

somebody save me from the chisel grind

how much does a krein grind even cost? fore some reason nobody ever mentions that..

Cool a forum i haven't heard of!
Dang tried to register but they don't like my email.
Thats kind of silly requiring an isp email address. My yahoo mail address is my "real" email address, has been for 12 years!
Tried to email them at the admin address they provided but it is invalid.
Very strange, oh well.

Yep they want an email address assigned by your service provider. Or at least they did when I tried to register.

I highly recommend Krein's work. I was thinking my Enduras would come back a little shorter in blade length. Not so. This dude knows his way around a knife and a belt grinder. Turnaround time is blazing fast compared to some custom shops and his prices are way fair. Send him a couple or even a few knives to regrind as this saves on shipping charges. I don't recommend email comms however. Krein is more of a phone guy. But you really don't even need to call him. Just send the knives off to the address listed on his website, enclose a detailed note of what you want done along with your cell phone number. He'll call you when he gets the package. Do business with this guy without worry. He's one of the good uns.

The Spyderco forum (not the one here) used to be like that but they changed it.
Does any body have the email address for Usualsuspect.net? The email they give you when you click on "contact the administrator" does not work.

Anyway back on topic.
Love your work mr. Krein!
Heres a strange hypotheical question for you, do you need the whole knife sent to you?
What i mean is could a customer dismantle their knife and just send you the blade for grinding?
I live in Canada, and even though "flippers" are legal here the Border/customs guys can give a person grief for these type of knives coming across the border. Which is quite silly considering wholesalers bring thousands of these knives into the country every year. I've heard of overzealous customs guys misinterpreting the law and seizing individual guys flipper and AO knives when they hit the border.
So as much as i would like to get certain models i own modded i don't want to send them stateside and then have Canada customs steal them from me coming back across the border.
With more modern knives they are so easy to dismantle so it would be fairly easy to just send you the blade, so is that doable?
If yes then i will be probably send some knives your way in the future!
:)
