has anyone from Canada sent a blade to Krein's for regrind?? I have sent him an email but have not heard back.was planning on just sending the blade from my benchmade 760 tanto to have it reprofiled.there should be no problems but i thought i would ask if anyone has done this in Canada

I'm in the same boat over here in Ontario. Kind of. I want the 760 but the useless factory grind/edge are holding me back. Reprofiling such a thick CPM-M4 blade on my Sharpmaker isn't a realistic option. I'll be watching this thread.

Tom is pretty easy to reach by phone, and great to work with. He transformed about 20 of my folders to thin cutting tools instead of folding prybars. The 760 I had was the biggest transformation, as he turned it from hideously thick prybar to a .012" edged (compared to .050") high hollow ground cutter. He also removed the tanto tip and the blade was just perfect for a working knife in CPM M4 after the regrind. I doubt Tom would refuse to send knives to Canada, but it would be best to call him.
