First of all I would like to thank Tom Krein and TOB9595 for the opportunity to participate in this passaround.

I would also like to compliment Tom Krein on the fine workmanship and attention to detail that went into the TK8 . Fit and finish are first rate.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get to use the TK8 as much as I hoped; slicing up some cardboard boxes and some light kitchen duty were about it. The TR8’s spine is fairly thick (3/16”), but the edge is thin (.20”) and it really cuts well. I found the scales to be comfortable and secure, though fairly thin (1/4”). Although I didn’t get a chance to carry the TK8, the sheath looks good and seems to be well made.

While there is a lot to like about the TK8, I think I would like a blunter more rounded pommel and a distal tapered blade instead of the swedge. Both of these are very minor points and have more to do with appearance than function.

As it is, I am sure that the TK8 would make an excellent fixed blade EDC.

I ordered one of these and I'm really looking forward to getting it. How did the knife fit in your hand? Somehow it looks a little smaller but I can't tell from the pics if TOB9595's hand is gigantic or not. (Or if that one is much bigger than the other for that matter. :D)

It fit my hand (10 ½ glove size) very well. The contours lock the hand in and the checkering on the scales gives some added traction without being too abrasive.

The TK8 is not a real big knife; it is good size for comfortable EDC wear.

Torz, It'll fit your hand like a glove.
If not talk to Tom Krein...
He'll make it right :)

If he ever stops focusing on watches and make more knives
hahahahaha

A fine review, Frank
Great pic!!!!
