i just got a new old stock cqc7a from 2000

black coated plain edge

i am sending it to tom krein tomorrow. i called him up and discussed that he is going to put a hollow grind and a normal cutting edge on both sides of course.
and, i have my beloved tip down carry!

just got it today, even with all the adversity going on, he still does flawless work!

I pray his dad heals up.

Tom recently put a spearpoint on my cqc 7b. I think its a much better

more useable blade shape now than it was as a tanto. Its a ps so there isnt

much it wont cut. Tom does fantastic work!!!!

thnax again Tom.. Craig

Tom Krein does a great job on the Emersons, I have a couple of reground knives and I will be getting more done for sure.:)

I've been sending emails to him for six months...still can't get a reply. He must have more than enough business to not want my business enough to answer at least one of those emails.

Just call him. It's the easiest way to contact him. Quick turnaround on my knife. Had it back within 2 weeks.

Might be caught in his spam filter.

Any other way for you to contact him?.

Maybe through another member....

Cheers

:)

Tom is awesome, if he knew you were trying to contact him, he would have responded. Call him, he prefers to discuss the order anyway.

Tom is a great guy, Phone is the best way to contact him, its his cell so its on him most of the time. his regrinds have been longer recently but you still will get quality work from him.

i would be greatful to see some pics....

so far i have not had had experience with Mr. Krein.

is it cool to ask how much he charges on an average grinding job ?

i really would like to have him take care of one or 2 knifes of mine.

thanks for the info !

I have never had much luck with e-mail but always get a swift reply when I contact him through PM here.

Here are a couple of pics of his work :)

Yup, that's a mini-7 and a Persian just as they were delived to me from Tom. I went for
a bead blast finish over the belt satin you see on most of his reground blades :)
