KREIN" USA FIXED BLADE KNIFE W/ OTIGINAL MOLDED SHEATH #2012 is @ a auction $350 starting bid , D2 blade, pass or play, never seen one before
gut says run away

Tom Krein makes many different patterns of knives so I don't know which one you are looking at. All of his knives

are high quality and very well made and finished, and he has an excellent reputation in the knife makeing coummunity.

The 2012 on the subject knife indicates it was made in 2012. I doubt it will stay at minimum bid for long, as his

knives are very popular and sought after. Forum rules preclude giving actual price advise or information at your

membership level. Good luck.

He's not asking how much it's worth, he's asking whether it's worth bidding on. You have to decide if you like it enough to bid, without having handled it.

Personally, I think it's high, especially for a starting bid.

Thanks, I was just curious as of quality , and design, geometry, of something that I have zero experience with, price is only the value of one’s own desire to possess something, and that is my first objective, geometry rational of the design
and was hoping to hear some more information on this model/ brand

I would rather invest my time looking at purpose and functionality in my field

Still asking for value

I won't comment on the value but I can tell you from personal experience that Tom's knives are fantastic. Beautifully made, well finished and perfectly heat treated. Tom is a brilliant knife maker who learned his trade from Bob Dozier.
Here are a few of mine..........
