Anybody know the quality of this particular weapon? I have a kris cutlery korambit, and i love the weapon itself, but the sheath on it is terrible in my opinion. Just wanted somebody’s opinion on this thing before I drop that amount of cash for a Christmas gift.

Thanks again.

As was noted in the katana thread below Kris gives you a very good bang for the buck. The Viking sword seems to fall into that category. The grip is a bit bigger then the originals and the fittings are fairly plain and the sheath is better than nothing (but I'm biased). :) It is also a sturdy, serviceable blade, and a nice deal for under 300 dollars or so the survey says.

Have you looked at Albion Squire line? They have a very nice Viking Sword. For a little more money you can give an Albion quality sword.
