I am not sure between the practical katana and the kris cutlery one. In this article

http://swordforum.com/fall99/lineup-1.html

They complain about bad heat treatment on the practical katana, and the golden oriole as well. Does anyone know if these problems have been remedied? Also it says that there were problems with the plastic habaki, and the sword falling apart. I have heard that the habaki is now brass, which is an improvement I guess, but does anyone know if the other problems have been remedied? Has anyone done any heavy cutting and experienced problems with the sword getting wobbly or anything like in the article?

I prefer the look of the pk to the kris, but if the kris is as much better as described in that article I will have to get that. Two final questions, Is it worth the upgrade to the ppk if i decide to got that route, and has anyone ordered before from

?

Thank you for any help.

The artical in questin is over 4 years old now and basically Should no longer be there anymore as it gives way way out of date info. The PK and the Kris cutlery katanas are both excellent started swords. The main fifference is how traditional the PK looks over the KC one.

The pk is non dismountable and the PPK is. Other then that all 3 re good for teh price. Figure what you think looks best and you can afford and go for it...None of the will do you wrong *for the money*.
